Every IIHS Tested Mazda Car Earns Top Safety Award for the Third Consecutive Year

12.06.2022

Mazda has always been big about their safety standards, standing out from the noise – Mazda defies the practice of top-tier safety reserved for top-tier cars only. But how does Mazda stay atop in safety? It’s because Mazda extends its safety features to every single car on the line, whether it's a small Mazda-2 or a widely preferred for vocational experiences; CX-9. Their philosophies help them emerge as the only manufacturers on their scale that would go this far for their car owner's satisfaction and safety measures. The Japanese art of manufacturing, combined with modern engineering, and sprinkled with the vision to leap towards the future makes Mazda unbeatable on any front they step on. Of course, the dedication to continuously raise the perfection bar in automotive is one of the gears that work together in Mazda's clockwork of success.

So far, 5 Mazda Models have won the 2022 Top Safety Pick & Top Safety Pick+ Awards from IIHS Insurance that are Mazda3 hatchback (the Mazda 3 hatchback has been a go-to sophisticated car, designed to be spacious), Mazda3 sedan (Mazda 3 Sedan, on the contrary, is the sophisticated choice to move control in luxury), Mazda CX-30 (The perfect crossover is equipped with ultimate driving features and a sporty drive), Mazda CX-5 (Mazda CX-5 comes top of the line when it comes to powerful SUV driving experience), Mazda CX-9 (Serving the family get-around with safety and power, both defying expectations).

The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) is an NGO that tests vehicles on six crashworthiness evaluations that are (1) Driver-side Small Overlap Front (2) Passenger-side Small Overlap Front (3) Moderate Overlap Front (4) Original Side (5) Roof Strength (6) Head Restraint Tests. Moreover, to earn IIHS’s high-tier award; the vehicle must withstand the Front Crash Prevention System tests that include Vehicle-to-vehicle Crash Evaluation and Daytime vehicle-to-pedestrian Crash Evaluation. These were the standards that IIHS needed Mazda to go through. While the 2022 awards are meant to declare the safest vehicles and even the safer options amongst each brand and the trims within. Which further solidifies the safest car option. Mazda’s progress to manufacture the safest cars has led them to claim these rewards for the third time in a row, making them known as the most reliable and safest car options.
